Description
This Oceanis 381 has a proven cruising record, having been sailed by the current owner throughout the Caribbean for several years. It is now offered in great condition and well maintained to include a new bottom job just completed. The Oceanis 381 is a performance sailing yacht which corresponds well to Beneteau's philosophy on cruising. The furling drum for the genoa is positioned above the deck so that the area around the windlass is uncluttered. The shroud chainplates are well centered, guaranteeing an efficient sheeting angle while making it easier to move around the sidedecks, and the primary (self-tailing) winches are within arm's reach of the helmsman. The large cockpit has a steering wheel console, mainsail track moved forward on the coachroof, molding for the extra wide dodger, sunbathing area forward, and a recessed windlass in the large anchor well. This 381 is laid out in the owner's version with two large double cabins and large galley aft and to starboard. This gives an exceptionally comfortable saloon for 6 to 8 people with natural lighting and ventilation systems. The cabinetry is in cherry stained mahogany and the lockers are fitted with cane work doors. The head compartment has a marine toilet, shower, and hot and cold pressurized water.

Manufacturer Provided Description
The Oceanis 381 is a performance sailing yacht which corresponds well to Beneteau's philosophy on cruising. The standard mainsail is roller furling, but a classic mast is available. The large cockpit has a steering wheel console, a table with flaps and lockers, mainsail track moved forward on the coachroof, molding for the extra wide sprayhood (option), sunbathing area forward, and a recessed windlass in the large anchor well. The Oceanis 381 comes in two versions: the owner's version with two large double cabins (three cabin optional) and L-shaped galley to starboard, and the charter version with lateral galley. Both give an exceptionally comfortable saloon for 6 to 8 people with natural lighting and ventilation systems. The cabinetry is in cherry stained mahogany and the lockers are fitted with cane work doors. The head compartment has a marine toilet, shower, and hot and cold pressurized water (an optional forward head compartment is also offered).

Jim & Moira Turner are old friends of Fillingham Yachts, having bought and sold both sail and power boats through our services. During purchase of both their Island Packet and American Tug they underwent a complete selection process to include suitability for cruising grounds, boat handling, livability and long term value. In joining the Fillingham crew they aim to bring this process to other boaters, to match buyers with their ideal craft, both power and sail. In working with them you will enjoy their stories of boating in England, Africa and now here in Florida, with frequent charters to the Virgin Islands. Jim is a graduate engineer from the UK having built manufacturing facilities in Europe and Africa before moving to Atlanta, where they continued their love of boating on Lake Lanier. Their boating together started when Moira bought Jim his first sailing dingy instead of a wedding ring 37 years ago. Their latest project is building a new home in Dunedin from where they will be servicing the Nature Coast. If your family team would enjoy working with our âTurner teamâ, give them a call!
