Manufacturer Provided Description
From a history of great sailing prowess, mated to the finest production quality, the new 36.2 adds dimensions of unmatched livability. The Jeanneau 36.2 is constructed from a hand-laid fiberglass hull, with fully encased floors and hull longitudinals plus perimeter bonded structural bulkheads. The balsa-cored deck is through-bolted and bonded with elastic polymer to the hull. This method of building provides for superior strength and rigidity. There is also a vinylester resin skin coat for osmotic protection. The cockpit-deck includes swim platform and ladder with shower, walk-through transom with hinged helm seat for easy access, wheel steering, pedestal instrument console and folding cockpit table, aft-mounted genoa sheet winches for easy shorthanding, wide coach roof and deck lounging areas, five hatches and 10 opening ports to provide ventilation. In terms of sails and rigging, there are cockpit-mounted, self-tailing genoa sheet winches and a roof-mounted halyard-main sheet winch. Roller furling headstay, classic aluminum mast and boom, stainless standing rigging, low-stretch running rigging, mainsail and furling genoa, sail controls are led to the cockpit. Below deck, the starboard aft cabin has a queen berth with hanging locker, boot locker and storage shelf. The galley offers double stainless sinks, top loading icebox, twoburner stove with oven, and ample storage space. The marine toilet with aft shower area is separated from the sink-vanity by a Plexiglas door. The salon boasts a large U-shaped dinette with opposing settee and big, fixed table, aft-facing navigator's table with electrical panels outboard and a hanging locker. Forward, there is a long V-berth in a separate stateroom with hanging locker, vanity with sink and mirrored locker, plus storage shelves.
